New online gallery created for Iowa artists

A new web site called The Art Feed will give artists in Iowa and surrounding areas a place to display, promote and sell their work.
The site offers artists the opportunity to sell their work commission-free and will also serve as a central spot for artists to learn about art-centric events and opportunities, says creator Thais Carnall.
“The Art Feed is the perfect place for artists who may not have their own web site,” says Carnall, also the co-founder of Harvester, an event that spotlights up-and-coming Iowa artists who create nontraditional art. “Our ultimate goal with The Art Feed is to make sure Iowa artists get noticed and have a place to display their work.”
The site offers a free “basic membership” that allows artists to upload three images and create an artist profile. A “premium membership” costs $29.95 per year and allows artists to upload an unlimited number of images under their profile. Once a member, artists will be able to create their own gallery space, complete with an artist profile and a detailed description of each piece of work that is uploaded.
For more information contact Carnall at (319) 269-5225 or e-mail her at tcarnall@mchsi.com.
