Floodstock 2008 benefit concert set for July 3-5

Area businesses and organizations are coming together to host a flood relief benefit concert July 3-5 at Cabo Grill, 2730 Edgewood Rd. SW in Cedar Rapids.
Floodstock 2008 will be a three-day music festival featuring local and regional bands. Tickets will be available at the gate for $10 per person. All proceeds from Floodstock 2008 will go towards residents and businesses affected by the flood.
Floodstock 2008 entertainment include The Swing Crew, Greenbriar, Funk 101, Copper Moon, Super Size 7, Inch 75, Dogs on Skis, Brad Stiles, Junk Funk, Surf Zombies, and Wicked Liz & The Bellyswirls. In addition to entertainment all three days, Floodstock 2008 will feature food vendors, live and silent auction items. Floodstock 2008 is for ages 21 and over and will happen rain or shine. Coolers, lawn chairs and dogs are not permited. Xquisite Limo will offer a Safe Ride Home Program with limo rides home from the event for $5 per person.
Floodstock 2008 event coordinators include representatives from the Cedar Rapids Jaycees, Cedar Rapids Downtown District, Cedar Rapids Area / Marion Chamber of Commerce, Greater Cedar Rapids Foundation and various businesses and media outlets.
Here is the entertainment schedule for Thursday and Friday; organizers are still finalizing Saturday's schedule. Large Midgets will end the festival Saturday.
