F Yeah Fest tour stops in Iowa City Tuesday

The 8 p.m. show will also include Iowa City's School of Flyentology and comedians Hannibal Buress and Nick Flanagan. Tickets are $8.
The F Yeah Fest was formed five years ago in Los Angeles and hit the road earlier this month for a tour of 28 cities in 28 days that began in Baltimore. Organizers have also put on the Mess With Texas party at the annual South By Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, which this year featured the Breeders.
"It's really an honor for our town to be put on the shortlist of Midwest cities included on our tour," says Mission Creek Midwest promoter Andre Perry, who helped booked the tour stop in Iowa City. "Personally, I can say these are some of the hottest up and coming acts to come through here in awhile."
Comedian Hannibal Buress, who won Time Out Chicago's Funniest Person in Chicago contest last year, has drawn favorable comparisons to Eddie Murphy and the late Mitch Hedberg.
"He's just a hilarious guy," says Perry. "He's really quiet and subdued, a super-deadpan comedian."
